Hi there, I’m Nick Haslam, and welcome to my blog.

I’ve been working with numerous technologies over the past 15 years, including Siebel, MS CRM and contact management software (Maximizer). However, there has almost always been a common thread through everything I’ve done.

SQL Server, which I’ve been using since v6.5. I’ve done numerous certification exams on it, on both 2005 and 2008. I’m currently aiming to complete my MCM in SQL Server 2008 by Easter 2012. It’s good to have goals.

While there are a number of people who don’t consider certifications a good measure of ability, I’ve also worked on over a dozen large projects ranging from Siebel implementations (over 100 users), to Data Warehouse deployments (utilising the full SQL Server stack, for over 200 users).

While I have a fair amount of experience in the SQL Server environment, that isn’t the whole story. I have also experience in Virtual environments (VMware esxi (on a cluster), and Hyper-V), and a wide range of experience in deployment and configuration of Windows Server’s.
